Wow! Now you're in my back yard with that Surfliner! I live along a section of the CA coast that the train runs right along the beach, and my home is 100 yards from the track/beach. When my family and I walk to the beach, we have to cross those tracks and several time a day while at the beach the Surfliner will pass us. The "beach trail" I walk several times a week runs right along side the tracks (separated by railing/fence). One of the really fun things we like to do every once in a (long) while is take the train down to the end of the line in San Diego and hang out in Sea Port Village…
