Sometimes I get weird ideas, and this time it was to see if I could weld, not solder, but weld O gauge track. It was pretty clear from the onset that trying to weld HO or N scale track wasn’t going to work, but I wanted to see if O gauge track could be welded. I tried using 3-rail Atlas track, and while I was sort of able to weld it, the track rails melted exceptionally fast. This might work better with Lionel steel tubular track, but I didn’t have any on hand to try.
Anyway, it was just a fun thing to try out.
